A 28-year-old tricycle (Keke Napep) driver Dada Azeez have been arrested by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RSS) in Lagos for abducting a teenager, Punch reports.
The driver who was arrested alongside his accomplice Wasiu Agunbiade were accused of abducting the 15-year-old girls and turned her into a sex slave.
The teenager was also housed in the apartment of Agunbiade before she was rescued by the police.
The incident, the police said took place in Agege area of Lagos.
The police also said the teenager had N58,000 which belonged to her aunt Mrs Gbemisola on her when she was abducted on October 5.
However, during his interrogation, Azeez claimed the rescued girls was his girlfriend.
He also said they have been in a serious relationship since 2015, and only abducted the girl because Mrs. Gbemisola was against it.
“We started having a secret affair about a year ago. But her sister frowned at our relationship when she got to know. I bought her a phone through which we communicated, and instructed her to keep it away from her aunty,” Azeez said.
“Whenever she intended to visit me, she would call and I would describe our meeting place for her.
“Then I thought it would be better for her to elope with me and started working on her psyche by buying her gifts to lure her into accepting to move in with me.
“The day I made up my mind to abduct her coincided with the day she was sent on an errand. I did not know she was with such an amount of money.
“I only wanted to take her far away from her guardian for not supporting our relationship,”he said.
But contrary Azeez’s claim, the teenager said she was used as a sex machine.
She also said she only agreed to escape with the suspect out of ignorance.
